Executive Chef: West Bay Club Community
A native to Chicago, IL, Chef Valerie Hynes found her calling to food at age 10 rifling through her grandmothers “Culinary Institute of America Cookbook”, and later enrolling at Kendall College, Culinary School of the Arts. An internship at The Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, IL, turned into a seven year career as Executive Sous Chef where the sky was the culinary limit. After enough of that cold and windy winter torture, Valerie landed in Naples, FL at The Club at Mediterra for their opening season. A year and many fabulous meals later she accepted an Executive Sous Chef position at The Club Pelican Bay where during her five years there she learned a lot about high volume cooking and about love…as she married the Executive Chef. The following twelve years she spent exceeding members’ expectations as Executive Sous Chef with her husband at The Bald Peak Colony Club in Moultonborough, NH.
Valerie returned to SW Florida to become Executive Chef at West Bay Beach and Bay Clubs where the views and the ambiance are second to none. She is dedicated to delivering a variety of fun, fresh, innovative, and delicious cuisine to a robust and diverse membership.
